It is possible for you to extend your support of Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan beyond your lifetime by making a planned gift. Whether you would like to put your donation to work today or benefit us after your lifetime, you can find a charitable plan that lets you provide for your family and also support Assistance League. There are many gift arrangements to choose from.

An endowment gift to Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan today provides a brighter picture for our future. When you make a donation to our endowment, you give a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits. How is this accomplished? A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to address immediate needs of the Chapter. The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support.

We've created this section of our website to help you dream - about our future…and yours. We think you will find the provided information useful and easy to understand. It is something you can use and share with your family and friends. You can create a lasting legacy with a gift through your own thoughtful planning.

Florence Johnson Leaves Her Legacy

Flo_Johnson.jpg

In 1992, Florence Johnson was one of the original 39 community-minded women to form a Steering Committee to introduce National Assistance League to southeastern Michigan. Her sense of commitment to the community and the welfare of those in need weighed heavily on her mind, and she jumped at the chance to help start Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan. Throughout her 24 years as a member, Florence was a longtime promoter and generous personal contributor to the Chapter's mission.

Florence was passionate about Assistance League and was committed to leave a lasting legacy to the chapter. Her bequest of $100,000 was used to start an Endowment Fund to forever continue her commitment to both Assistance League and to the future welfare of the community she cared so dearly about. We are honored to have Florence Johnson as the first Charter Member of our Legacy Society.
