Thirty Board members and Committee Chairs of Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan gathered with National representatives, Charlotte Stott and Louise Ferdun, to discuss the successes and challenges of the chapter and the national organization's role as a resource. Chapter President Rosemary Dirksen led the agenda which included reports from each chapter Vice President and Committee Chairs. It was a beneficial exchange of ideas and confirmation of a stronger connection between the Michigan chapter and National.
Arriving a day before the conference, Charlotte and Louise attended the April regular meeting where they met members, heard philanthropic program reports and upcoming fundraising events, shared in a generous $30,000 grant presentation, and toured our ReSale Connection store and Warehouse. That evening, Cindy Cirar hosted a reception at her home.
Thank you Charlotte and Louise for visiting which enabled the national organization to better understand what our chapter is providing in the communities we serve.
